School of Worship

OVERVIEW –

The School of Worship is designed to equip worshippers with the theological, practical and personal skills required to play and lead worship effectively. In its fifth year running, the school has seen numerous worshippers from across New Zealand released to lead their congregations in vibrant worship.

2019 SPEAKERS – 

Bazi Baker   Bazi is the worship pastor of Grace Vineyard Church and heads up the School of Worship. He has a heart to raise up worshippers and songwriters in order to see the Church equipped and released into passionate worship of God. He earned his degree in jazz guitar and loves to help musicians become the best they can be.

Aidan Swafford   Aidan serves as the Worship and Production Pastor at ARISE Church in Christchurch. He carries a gift of faith and encouragement and is passionate about equipping and releasing great musicians and leaders.

Rachel McConnachie   Rachel is the Worship Pastor at C3 Church Christchurch. Her musical journey started in the world of classical music as a solo pianist. She leads worship most Sundays as well as coaching bands and worship leaders from churches all around New Zealand. She loves Jesus, her husband Stephen, flat whites, three-part harmonies and op shopping.

Bridget Roth   Bridget has served on worship teams for over 30 years, taught music in schools, and currently helps run the worship department at Grace Vineyard Church. She is the queen of encouragement, pastoral care and making sure everyone is having a good time.

Ben MacGregor   Kids pastor at Grace Vineyard Church, Ben is passionate about raising up the next generation of worship leaders. He spareheaded Grace Vineyard Musics family album GROW which has gained popularity in New Zealand and around the world.

Clark Alcock   Clark is Teaching Pastor at Grace Vineyard Church and is passionate about people encountering God in both Word and Spirit. He loves the whole Church and is committed to helping develop ‘presence-based’ ministry, that nourishes community and advances the Kingdom of God.

·       Running and being part of rehearsals

·       The private world with Jesus
·       Technical practicalities
·       Song writing

Entry Requirements –

We welcome anyone who is committed to following Jesus, an active part of their church community and wanting to learn more about worship. Some level of musical skill is preferred but not required. The breadth of course material makes it beneficial for beginner through to experienced worship team members.
